Aneesh Jalan

Aneesh Jalan is a Master’s student in the Computer Science and Engineering department at UC San Diego, specializing in Robotics. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from UC San Diego, graduating Cum Laude. Prior to joining the lab, he worked for three years as a Software Engineer at Housecall Pro, where he built scalable full-stack systems and led several key engineering initiatives. At AVL, his research focused on 3D Detection and Multi-Object Tracking (MOT), where he worked on extending a state-of-the-art tracking model to incorporate HD+ Map priors for improved map-aware agent detection and tracking. He is passionate about applying his software engineering background to advance perception systems for autonomous vehicles.
